Almond Bars

Course Cookies and Bars
Servings 1 9x13 inch pan


  • 1 c Butter Melted and Cooled
  • 2 c Sugar
  • 4 Eggs Beaten
  • 2 c Flour
  • 2 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 dash Salt


  • 3 oz Cream Cheese Soft
  • 6 tbsp Butter Soft
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 tsp Milk
  • 2-1/2 c Powdered Sugar


  • Mix butter, sugar and eggs together until creamy. Add flour, almond, and salt. Mix until smooth. Spread into well-greased 9x13-inch cake pan. (If you want the bars to be thinner and more of them, it can be done in a jellyroll pan.) Bake for 25 minutes or until done.
    FROSTING: Beat all ingredients together until smooth. If stiff,, add small amounts of milk until easy to spread. Spread on cooled bars.
