Almond Bars

Course Cookies and Bars
Servings 1 9x13 inch pan

Ingredients
  

Bars:

  • 1 cup Butter Melted and Cooled
  • 2 cup Sugar
  • 4 Eggs Beaten
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 dash Salt

Frosting:

  • 3 oz Cream Cheese Soft
  • 6 tbsp Butter Soft
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 tsp Milk
  • 2-1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions
 

Bars:

  • Mix butter, sugar and eggs together until creamy.
  • Add flour, almond, and salt.
  • Mix until smooth.
  • Spread into well-greased 9x13-inch cake pan. (If you want the bars to be thinner and more of them, it can be done in a jellyroll pan.)
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until done.

Frosting:

  • Beat all ingredients together until smooth.
  • If stiff, add small amounts of milk until easy to spread.
  • Spread on cooled bars.
