Asphalt Roofing Crew Foreman

As an Asphalt Roofing Crew Foreman at Western Products, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a roofing crew to ensure asphalt roofing projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to company quality standards. This role combines hands-on roofing work with leadership, coordination, and quality control responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a crew of roofers on asphalt shingle roofing projects
  • Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members
  • Ensure all work is performed according to manufacturer specifications, building codes, and company standards
  • Oversee tear-off, installation, flashing, underlayment, ventilation, and clean-up
  • Enforce jobsite safety procedures and OSHA regulations at all times
  • Coordinate with roofing manager, production, salesman, and suppliers
  • Monitor material usage and report shortages or damages
  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness and professionalism
  • Train and mentor crew members to improve skill level and productivity
  • Inspect completed work and address punch-list items promptly
  • Complete required job documentation, reports, and time tracking

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of asphalt roofing experience
  • Prior experience as a crew lead or foreman preferred
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt shingle systems and installation techniques
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, plans, and specifications
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass DOT physical exam
  • Ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials (up to 80 pounds)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
