As 2023 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on our company history, as well as our 75th anniversary celebrations throughout this year. We are so thankful to our customers, business partners, and employees. We could not be here without the support of our community.
Our Beginning
For 75 years, Western Products has been a locally owned and operated home improvement company in Fargo-Moorhead, and now covers service areas throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota. We first opened our doors in 1948 when Peter Schuck founded the company as a lightning rod distributor. From there, we quickly expanded into siding, introducing steel siding to our region in 1963. Western Products became a pioneer in the industry by delivering the first load of steel siding ever produced in the United States.
Our Products
We are committed to providing quality products and services to our customers. As one of the most well-known home improvement contractors in the region, we are widely recognized for our durable exterior products. These include United States Seamless steel siding, Renewal by Andersen replacement windows, seamless gutters, and metal and asphalt roofing. We also offer several exceptional lines of interior home improvements, including window treatments by Hunter Douglas and custom cabinetry by Crystal Cabinets and Showplace Cabinetry.

At the heart of our continued success, though, is our employees’ dedication to serving homeowners throughout the region with the utmost professionalism and integrity. From our team of experienced installers to our knowledgeable sales and support staff, everyone at Western Products strives to provide the best possible experiences to everyone we work with.

Our Celebrations
Over the last year, we have celebrated our 75th anniversary in several ways, including a grilled breakfast, a party with live music and a classic car show, an ice cream social, and an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Breakfast Celebration
It’s the most important meal of the day! We started our 75th anniversary events off right this year with a grilled breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, coffee, and more, all prepared with love by our wonderful coworkers. We invited members of the community to stop by for a free meal, and we welcomed the crew from AM 1100 The Flag WZFB radio station to cover the festivities!
Party + Classic Car Show
The big event! This past summer, we celebrated in a big way. Our team and guests enjoyed burgers, yard games, live music from The Front Fenders, a classic car show, and even some karaoke. It was a perfect summer evening, and we packed our parking lot full of employees, family, and friends who partied the night away.
Ice Cream Social
It was a beautiful day for a cool treat at our ice cream social this summer! We offered sundaes with all the fixings to our employees and members of the community. Then, we spent the afternoon lounging and chatting in the sun, and enjoying our sweet creations.
Open House + Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Last, but certainly not least, our open house was a phenomenal success! Our team and guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and great conversation in our newly remodeled Interior Design Center. We are especially grateful to the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce for making it official with a ribbon cutting ceremony. It was an excellent way to wrap up our celebrations this year.
