	Did you know that one woman in eight either has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime? Western Products and the Roger Maris Cancer Center are fighting back! The Roger Maris Cancer Center is a non-profit organization and all money raised stays right here to help the cancer patients in our region. Think Pink and help make a difference! For every appointment scheduled at this years home show Western Products will make a donation of $25 to the Roger Maris Cancer Center. Pink Carnations are available for a free will offering – all proceeds going directly to the Roger Maris Cancer Center. Schedule an appointment with a Western Products representative and be automatically entered to win a pair of Pink Quartz and Sterling Silver earrings donated by Gretchen Gray. Recognized nationally for its innovative programs, highly trained staff and research in cancer care, MeritCare Roger Maris Cancer Center has earned accreditations from such leading organizations as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Radiation Cancer. As a member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers, the Cancer Center adheres to several high standards that define what a community cancer center is and underscore what it means to provide comprehensive care. Thanks to early detection methods, healthier lifestyle choices and improved cancer treatments breast cancer mortality rates have been dropping since 1990! - American Cancer Society Donations to the Roger Maris Cancer center will help research in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: New ways to manage side effects Conducting cancer-prevention studies Examining quality-of-life issues, including helping with patient comfort Help with patient comfort Support groups, including ways to help cancer patients in rural areas, away from support groups and educational programs.
